Eva-ya Hakone AUTUMN FAIR

A limited bookmark at the Evangelion shop inside Hakone-Yumoto Station, for as long as the stock lasts.

Eva-ya, the official Evangelion shop on the ground floor of Hakone-Yumoto Station, is holding an AUTUMN FAIR from 12 September 2026. For every ¥3,000 you spend, tax included, you get a limited bookmark, picked at random from two designs.

There is no booking and no end date: the fair lasts until the bookmarks run out. The shop opens 9:00-18:00 and closes on irregular days, and every Evangelion trip to Hakone passes through the station.

Why it matters for anime fans

Nobody needs to fly to Japan for a bookmark. But every Evangelion trip to Hakone starts and ends at Hakone-Yumoto Station, and Eva-ya is right inside it. If you are there anyway, this autumn you leave with something that will not be there next year.

What you can see and do

The official Evangelion shop in Hakone. During the fair, the bookmark comes on top of whatever you buy.

Tickets, booking and limited items

  • No booking or ticket. Just go in during opening hours.
  • One bookmark for every ¥3,000 you spend, tax included. You cannot choose the design.
  • Stock is limited and the fair ends when it runs out, with no end date announced.

Getting there

Eva-ya is on the ground floor of Hakone-Yumoto Station, so you walk in as you arrive or before your train home. For the Romancecar, the Hakone Freepass and getting around Hakone, see Hakone Transport & Tickets.

Where to stay

The fair does not change where to stay. If you want a cheaper night close to the station, one option is below. For ryokan and hotels on the Evangelion route, see Where to Stay in Hakone.

  • Posada Suimei

The annex of Hakone Suimeiso, about 2 min on foot from Hakone-Yumoto Station, aimed at people travelling alone. A budget base next to the station.
