Choose how many days you have

Every trip here starts with the same question: how long can you be away from Tokyo? The answer decides which places are reachable, where you sleep, and whether you need to drive. Pick the length first, then choose how you get around inside it.

How to use this section

  1. Choose the length

One night or two. It changes what fits.

  2. Choose how you travel

Rental car or public transport, end to end.

  3. Read only the guides you need

    Tickets, driving, lodging, food.

Yuru Camp△ × Yamanashi

Both routes start and end at Shinjuku and use the same three valleys as their backbone. What changes is how much of it you can slow down for.

1 night / 2 days

Yamanashi as part of a Tokyo trip

The compact version. Lake Motosu is the anchor, and you accept that two or three places have to go. Realistic when the rest of your holiday is already booked in Tokyo.

Best for
A short break inside a Tokyo-based holiday
Areas covered
Lake Motosu, Kai-Tokiwa, Yamanashi City — the Minobu station front only by car
Where you sleep
Shimobe-Onsen, walkable from the station
Watch out for
Without a car, the taxis to Lake Motosu must be booked before you go

2 nights / 3 days

Make Yuru Camp△ the point of the trip

One theme per day: the club’s day out, the valley the characters live in, then the lake where the story starts. With a car, Lake Shibire joins the route.

Best for
Travellers coming to Japan for this specific place
Areas covered
Yamanashi City, Lake Shibire (car only), Minobu, Kai-Tokiwa, Lake Motosu
Where you sleep
Kofu, Isawa-Onsen or Fruit Park, then Shimobe-Onsen. Koan is a car-only alternative with no hour-by-hour plan yet
Watch out for
With a car, the second night decides whether you can move a day when the forecast changes. By train the order is fixed either way
